The International Trade Fair of Plastics and Rubber, "K 2007", is the framework for the international launch of Dinaplen® PP, the new product line of Spanish compounder Grupo Repol (Castellón, Spain). The new Dinaplen® PP compounds are targeted at the building, furniture and automotive markets among others. The range includes an innovative line of halogen free flame retardant compounds with excellent mechanical properties. Dinaplen® PP allow for flame retardants and any type of reinforcement and is offered in a wide variety of made to order colours. Dinaplen® PP, first presented in Spain last April, has been well received in the Spanish market. One application has been the manufacture of chair backs for a well known international fast-food company by Valencian injection moulder Molins e Hijos. The compound, Dinaplen® PPC1S07 G10V0, is a fire-resistant copolymer of medium MFI reinforced with 10% glass fibre, to be dyed by the moulder in different colours. Dinalon® polyamides, extrusion and injection applications At the biggest European plastics trade fair, Grupo Repol will exhibit the multiple applications of Dinalon® with examples of extrusion and injection applications from all around the world, i.e. cable ties, rivets, wire and harness fixations and cable conducts from Hellermann Tyton in France, base support for air vents from Bestmould Plastics PTY Ltd. (Australia), or lock systems from D&D Technologies (Australia) among others. There will be application parts on show from a range of polyamides which are specially suitable and already tested for any use that requires certain rigidity and impact resistance without excessively compromising the typical polyamide characteristics of chemical, thermal and mechanical resistance. Typical references of this kind of materials are A2X25 MI H, A1X25 MI or B1S25 MI, to name just a few. Applications of this range of materials for Hellermann Tyton include: cable ties, air conducts and wire/harness fixations for the automotive and electrical industries. Worth mentioning are also under-the-hood cable conducts for the automotive sector, produced in various sizes and designs, where heat and chemical resistance is often required. For the construction sector Among the exhibited parts for the construction sector are those from the Australian D&D Technologies: proprietary security lock systems for swimming pool fences (Dinalon® PA6 reinforced with glass fibre, its main characteristics being rigidity, surface appearance and light stability) Another application for the construction sector exhibited at Grupo Repol booth is the base support for Alsynite® air vents from Australian Bestmould Plastics PTY Ltd., comprising a PA6 25% GF reinforced heat and UV stabilized offering high rigidity and minimum shrinkage. A wide range of applications Toughened engineering polyamides, nano-reinforced compounds with unique mechanical, thermal and barrier properties, flame retardant PAs glass fibre or mineral charge reinforced and halogen and red phosphorous free, or fast cycle natural PA6 are also products developed by Grupo Repol. Grupo Repol's range of distribution products in Spain include high technology and extrusion products from US firm Nycoa, SABIC® PP and SABIC® PPcompound range of products for the automotive market, Anja® range of engineering plastics (PC, PBT, PC/ABS y PC/PBT) from J&A Plastics, Toray's PPS Torelina®, and POM Kocetal®, copolyester PEN-PET Nopla® and transparent amorphous copolymers based on PET Vitret® from KTP Industries Inc. Quality, service, constant process improvement and the implementation of the latest technologies are hallmarks of Grupo Repol and have been so from its very beginning. Grupo Repol is now present in 18 countries worldwide. Source: Grupo Repol |
